I was kinda peved when me and my guildmate raised the 100k and bought the skill trainer and found out that we only get the most basic of skills, seriously 100k should get me access to a skill trainer that I can buy pretty much any of the non elite skills. If I had know before I would've saved the money and just kept using the big cities.

Default Update the guild hall skill trainer

I know this has been mentioned before, but worthwhile topics get buried in a matter of minutes anyway.

-- Please update the Skill Trainer at Guild Halls. At the very least, let campaign specific halls offer skills from that campaign + core skills. Currently, if you're a Guild Leader and own a guild hall but only own Factions or NF, you have no reason to waste money on the trainer.

It would be great to purchase upgrades for the Skill Trainer. Even the core professions you can't find common/useful skills at the Trainer. The only thing I use him for is for Sig Caps. :/

I was under the impression the skill trainer only gave core skills out?

Anet stagers when certain skills become available, even with Factions and Nightfall. I would sign if the skill trainer was smart enough to check to see what campaigns and give you skills that you could normally get up to the points in the campaign that you had access to.

Yes this would be most useful.

at least you must be able to buy any skill you have unlocked on your account (except elites of course).

Don't you just hate it when you have a new prophecies char, and a great (unlocked) skill you want is factions/nightfall only, and thus can't buy it at the trainer t.t

Once you see a trainer in PvE, those skills should be available from the Hall Trainer. Why this hasn't been implemented beggars belief, because I hate trying to decide if a skill is worth buying when I'm being distracted by some moron's WTS spam.

/SIGNED as many times as possible, WTF, when CH4 comes out, provided they introduce 2 new classes, exactly half of the classes in the game will find the Guild Hall skill trainer to be completely and utterly worthless.

Right now the only thing that they're useful for is to buy a capture signet.

It's always bugged me that the trainers in Prophecies and Factions had more skills available, even in Ascalon.

I do get ever so tired of dragging my characters half way across a map to a place just for the skill trainer. Had to drag my monk all the way to ascalon just for some skills.

100k for a trainer that sell skill you can buy from Michiko (She has all core skills)
That is not 100k worth.
It should sell any skill unlocked and available for that account, provided you own the necesary campaing.

Default Your guild hall SKILLS person

We recently bought a skills guy in our guild hall. The thing is its only has core skills for your characters. I still have to travel between games with my PvE characters to buy skills. I thought for 100k it would be much nicer to be able to buy all your skills at your guild hall as long as you have the chapter the skill belongs and you have unlocked it. Unless i'm missing something its kinda of a waste. I don't know if its better on PvP characters because i use PvE characters in PvP i have them decked out skills weapons insignia armor. i feel its pretty much not worth 100k for a skills person and hope it can be improved.

Another thought, I would like to see the gap bridged from PvE to PvP. You could spend 10k just on the same skill for all your 10 characters. But in pvp once a skill is unlocked its unlocked for all your characters as I understand. I would kinda like to see people buy all primary skills for each character but then allow it to appear on secondary for other characters for free. Of coarse secondary skills would only be permitted to how far that character has progressed through the game. Otherwise a character could go all secondary skills and own too early in the game.

Any thoughts?

I can see why the guild hall skill trainer should have all skills offered, but as for the buying of skills for one PvE character for all, that doesn't work. It makes no sense that every character would know the same skills.

It has been arelady sugested and yes, the Skill trainer in the Guild Hall should:

- Teach all core skills regardless of the skills you have unlocked.
- Teach all skills you have already unlocked.
- DO NOT teach capture signet unless you have made the required quest for that character, or at least make the character unable to buy or use it until then.

Heroes have all your unlocked skills available. And they are the NPCs closest to characters.
And it has been told that all your characters are from the same 'family'.
Could a brother teach a sister the skills he know...? Hm...

The idea could be applied in two ways:
- Make all unlocked skills available for all secondary professions of your characters.
- Make only the non-elite skills available for all secondary professions.

For the same reason the OP used in a different place.

A noob invited to a guild. He goes to guild hall. Buy's skills that normally require alot of work. Noob owns.

Personally, I think the guild hall NPC's need a little bit of a revamp all around, adjust prices to worth, not adjusting worth to prices.

There's nothing a guild hall can offer that you can't already get in LA or equivalent town, unless I'm missing something about how other NPC's function...

I did realize however, even though I'm in a guild by myself, I could buy a Hall and get all the upgrades, and still have a couple hundred K left over, depending on sigil cost, that's something the Wiki doesn't directly mention.

You don't seem to know how Guild Hall skill trainers work.
The currently have all Core skills and Capture Signets.

The skill trainer does NOT depends on the hall, but in the ACCOUNT.
That is, someone invited to you guild hall will see the same talking to your skill trainer and the skill trainer in his guild hall.

You can get all the core skills in early trainers, in Cantha, you can get all the Core skills just from Michiko, the trainer in Kaineng.

Noob invited to a guild, talk to skill trainer, his account have no skills unlocked, trainer has only the core skills for him.
I go and finish all campaings, I unlock all skills with main character in Ember Light Camp, Harvest Temple and Gate of Torment and unlock all skills, now I can buy the Non-Elite ones in my Guild Hall with my other characters.

Do you understand now?

(Nedless to say that a noob can't own even with a full skill lists available, this is Guild Wars)

This is not to make things faster. Is to make that guy have a real purpose.

Either you really don't like me, or you have a hard time reading, cause you're like this to me in almost all threads.

Granted I used only the word noob, and not noob character, so I'll let that part slide.

My point is, say there are 2 low level characters(In prophecies), one could/would have access to all of Factions and Nighfall skills, even though he starts in prophecies, through the guild hall, where as the new player would not have this advantage. There's already an advantage to with unlocked core skills, no reason to increase that.
(I'm working on the assumption that each set has unique non elites, I've not played each chapter enough to really pay attention, nor have I memorized the wiki)

I wasn't making a big deal out of it though. Way to flame bait, you're my hero.

Th OP is even talking about making skills free in some circumstances, and/or adding a cost increase..
I think the way skills function, trainers, caps, and everything is fine, and any changes could upset current balances. In addition, there are many other area's that more people would benifit from the improvement of.

Skill unlocks should only count towards your PvP only characters, in my opinion, not other PvE's on the same account.

No where on the GW website does it say your characters are related, so that storyline basis for how your characters know other skills goes right out the window. To suggest they are related is a bit ludicrous. Hey my brother did everything already....so I'm going to go back in time and do the same things he did...eh, stupid.
The shared storage and faction, is to eliminate some of the grind, and that's all.
